Donna Kidwell, president of Her Domain, is exuberant about Women In Technology Night at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar.

"It’s such a great way to celebrate the season, celebrate Austin, and celebrate the technology community at the same time. We want to make sure as many people as possible know about it," she says.

Regarded as one of the nation's top art and music festivals, Armadillo Christmas Bazaar provides the very best of Christmas shopping, "Austin Style." While the Bazaar runs December 9 – 24, the producer, Bruce Willenzik, has extended a special invitation for Monday, December 18. That evening, admission is FREE for women who work in the high tech industry -- and their families.

The event is a popular opportunity for local women-focused technology groups, such as Her Domain of Austin, Austin Women in Computing, and Austin Women in Technology to meet, network, and organize holiday gatherings.

Now in its 25th year, the Armadillo Bazaar is held at the Austin Music Hall, 3rd and Nueces, downtown. The Music Hall has a capacity for 1,100 people at any one time, and Willenzik expects that up to 700 of those could be women in technology and their families. On December 18, free admission for Women in Technology Night officially starts at 7:00 PM.

Music on December 18 will be provided by Anna Egge, with Matt the Electrician opening at 8:00 PM.
There will be a cash bar and food service available.
