Having moved to Austin after college at Tulane University, I earned a Master's
degree in Library and Information Science from UT Austin in 1995. I was
immediately swept up by Austin's burgeoning tech tide, and enjoyed working
as a project manager, web application developer and interface designer for
VersaCom, Inc., WebEdge, Inc., Apple Computer, and Interactive Ensemble,
Inc., and a few local "dot com" businesses. While currently on extended
leave from full-time employment to supervise our very busy twin daughters
and a toddler son, I have been busy with contract web development for local
companies and non-profit organizations. I have served as a board member
for Ashera Project , The
National Organization to Treat A-T, and Her Domain of Austin.

Wendy is a mild-mannered Marketing Manager for a fast-growing software
development company by day, and by night she becomes...fiction woman! She's
published several short stories of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
She's also written computer manuals, nonfiction articles on bankruptcy and
other topics, and a screenplay or two. The latter came in handy when one
of her first (and most involved) projects was to script and create an interactive
CD-ROM on her company's high-end project management system. She's taught
fiction courses for UT Informal Classes for the past four years now, and
has seen gratifying success amongst her "Wendy Alumni." She's designed and
had produced her former company's website: www.planview.com,
as well as writing, designing, and producing her own website, where samples
of her writing and teaching materials (and her graphics portfolio) can be
found.
